Rifle-Waving St. Louis Lawyer Is Running for Senate

St. Louis personal injury lawyer, Mark McCloskey, and his wife made headlines last summer when they waved guns at Black Lives Matter marchers outside their house. Now he has announced that he would run for the United States Senate in 2022.

This announcement was made on "Tucker Carlson Tonight" on Fox News. He said in his first election ad:

"When the angry mob came to destroy my house and kill my family, I took a stand against them. Now I'm asking for the privilege to take that stand for all of us...My name is Marl McCloskey and I will defend the people of Missouri. You have my word. I will never back down.

He went on to tell Carlson, "I've always been a Republican, but I've never been a politician. But, you know, God came knocking on my door last summer disguised as an angry mob, and it really did wake me up."
