Governor DeWine To Lift Mask Mandate

Gov. Mike DeWine declared that the state's health orders imposed to combat the COVID-19 coronavirus would be lifted during a speech to Ohioans on Wednesday.

Face masks and social distancing will no longer be needed, according to DeWine. However, schools and businesses can still implement their own rules:

“Each Ohio citizen will make their own decisions about wearing a mask and social distancing, and when, for them, that’s appropriate. Ohio businesses and schools, as well, will make their own decisions about how to best keep their customers, employees, and students safe. Lifting these health orders will not prevent a business from imposing its own requirements.”

The health order are to be lifted on June 2nd by the Ohio Department of Health.
