'Game of Thrones' Star Kit Harrington Spotted at Alinea Over the Weekend

'Game of Thrones' star Kit Harrington was in Chicago over the weekend for Ace Comic-Con Midwest in Rosemont. Before the event, Kit started his weekend in Chicago at the world renowned Alinea! Owner Grant Achatz freaked out since he's a 'Game of Thrones' fan. Block Club Chicago says:

Celebrity sightings are nothing new at Alinea, but this weekend’s visitors might have topped the list for Michelin three-starred chef-owner Grant Achatz.

“Game of Thrones” stars Kit Harrington and Gwendoline Christie visited Chicago over the weekend, and on Friday, they dined at Alinea, Achatz wrote on Instagram. The pair also ate at Omakase Yume, a petite prix fixe sushi restaurant in the West Loop, on Saturday.

The love Achatz has for the HBO series has made it a source of inspiration in his world-renowned restaurant — enough so that his staff gifted him with a replica Longclaw sword for Christmas one year.

“Like everyone else in the world, [I] loved ‘Game of Thrones’ and would use story lines or show quotes during pre-service meetings as analogies to service issues for inspiration or problem solving,” Achatz wrote on Instagram.

On the show and the book series it is based on, Harrington’s character Jon Snow receives the finely crafted Longclaw from his mentor early on, and it remains at his side for the show’s entirety.

“When I got it, I told them someday we will serve a course on this sword,” Achatz said in his post. “Last night we had the perfect opportunity.”

So cool!
