Alec Baldwin Got Scammed While Trying to See the Statue of Liberty

Alec Baldwin and his family got scammed when they tried to buy tickets to see the Statue of Liberty. The NY Daily News has the story:

Alec Baldwin paid for a cruise, but got taken for a ride.

The actor and “Saturday Night Live” star was duped into purchasing expensive tickets for an Odyssey-esque boat cruise around the Statue of Liberty, according to a post on his Instagram account Sunday.

Baldwin, his wife Hilaria and their children were directed by scalpers to an unauthorized bus stop on West St. just north of Battery Park, and were told to get on a shuttle bus to New Jersey, the post claims.

“We paid, then we read the tickets,” the enraged celebrity wrote. “No one ever mentioned New F***ing Jersey!”

It’s unclear whether the Baldwins actually boarded the Garden State-bound bus. It’s also unclear how a New Yorker who grew up on Long Island could have fallen prey to such an infamous grift.

Baldwin’s representative declined to make him available for comment Monday.

Even though this probably didn't impact Alec's financial situation too much, still sucks!
